What does pet-friendly mean?

The term "pet-friendly" can mean a lot of things to different people. When an accommodation provider advertises themselves as pet-friendly, it means that they will allow pets - although restrictions may apply. However, we do encourage our property owner to not only allow but welcome pets just as they would a human. The more pet friendly the property is, the better PAW rating they will receive and they will rank higher in our listings.

What is Toto's Paw rating system?

We have designed a "paw rating" system making it easier for you to understand just how accommodating the property is with dogs staying, making it much simpler and easier for you to find the perfect fit for you and your pooch. One Paw Property allows pets to stay outside. Can include an off-leash area, secure fenced area, or on-leash at all times. Check pet amenities in property for full details. Two Paws Property allows pets inside and may include additional features such as off-leash area or secure fenced area. Check pet amenities in property for full details. Three Paws Pets are allowed inside and the property offers additional pet-oriented features such as a doggy gift pack or other pet services such as pet minding, pet spa, and grooming services. Check pet amenities in property for full details. Four Paws Property offers the full three Paws experience with pets inside and additional pet amenities and also has multiple guest reviews with an average guest rating of 4 stars or greater. Four paws is the maximum level of pet-friendly accommodation experience available.

Can I take any type of pet with me?

We are a pet friendly accommodation booking website, so we do encourage our accommodation providers to allow all animals to stay. However, it isn’t always practical for all pets to stay at all accommodation sites. We recommend you read the property's policy to check any restrictions.

How do I make a booking?

Making a booking with Toto is quick, easy and fun. There is no application process at Toto, once you have selected your accommodation and the payment is successful you will receive instant confirmation of your booking. Toto has no waiting periods to see if you and your adorable pet are accepted by the accommodation providers. Here at Toto, everybody and every pet is welcomed. 1. Find the perfect accommodation for you and your pet by entering your location, dates, how many people and pets will be joining you on your stay. 2. In the Advance Search option, you can easily specify the level of pet friendliness, pet amenities, guest amenities, price range, accommodation type and guest rating. 3. Once you have found the perfect place to stay, simply select the room and press book now. 4. We need your contact details to pass on to your accommodation provider and payment details to confirm your booking. You will be prompted when and where to enter these.

Can I pay with any currency?

Yes, the credit cards process the foreign currency in processing payment. All rates are shown in AUD. Please note you may be charged a foreign exchange fee and other fees by your credit card company. Please check with your credit card company .

How do reviews work?

All the reviews on Toto are written by accommodation providers and guests from our community. A review is based on the experience after staying at the accommodation provided. You have 14 days after checkout to write a review of your stay.

How do I write a review?

When you book online through Toto checkout, you will receive an email on the day of checkout, containing a link to submit a review.

Can I edit a review I wrote?

Reviews cannot be edited once they are submitted. Editing includes grammar, spelling errors, and changing star rating. In addition, if you wish to remove the review for any reason after it has been published, you will be unable to resubmit a new review.

At Toto, we want both guests and accommodation providers the opportunity to share their holiday experiences with the Toto Community. Property reviews from past guests help travellers to be reassured that a property is truly as described and helps them to book with more confidence. Reviews that are left by other guests allow a potential traveller to gain instant trust with the accommodation provider. In addition, accommodation providers want to make sure they can trust their potential guests (human and furry) and are comfortable with them staying in their property, so accommodation providers are able to review guests and their pet that has booked their accommodation.

What is a Toto Account?

A Toto account allows you to save and reference useful holiday rental information on our site. This free feature is designed to enrich almost every step of your holiday experience, from searching and booking properties to reviewing the property after your stay. A Toto account is not required to book, however, to gain all the benefits of Toto and join the fun, we do recommend creating a Toto account.

How do I make a Toto account?

You can register and create an account with Toto at any time by clicking on the REGISTER button at the top of the page. To register an account all we need is your first name, surname, email address and then simply create a password.

Why should I create a Toto profile and photo?

Your profile is a great way for accommodation providers to learn more about you before they welcome you and your pet to their accommodation. When your profile is robust, it helps others feel that you're responsible, authentic, and committed to the spirit of Toto. We recommend guests upload a profile photo before booking their first reservation. A great profile includes: • Image: Please upload a photo that clearly shows your face. This is a great way for the Toto community to learn more about you. Personal or sensitive information is best to leave out of your photo. This is helpful, so accommodation providers know who to welcome. • Bio: A description of at least 50 words highlighting why you decided to join the Toto community, your interests or hobbies, or anything else you think someone would want to know about you and your pet. To view someone's profile, just click their profile photo.

Will my pet be restricted from certain areas of the property?

Yes, sometimes is maybe for practical or even the safety of your furry guests that restrictions may need to be in place to ensure everyone has a safe and fun experience. We suggest checking out a property’s Paw rating. (Paw ratings of 1 will be for properties that allow pets to visit but are restricted outside of all dwellings). Checking the property's policies should further specify any restrictions.

The Toto Community is a forum to share you and your dog’s travelling experiences with travelling dog-lovers. This helps the accommodation provider learn more about your puppy before they welcome you and your pet to their accommodation. A robust Puppy Profile helps others to feel that you are responsible and committed to the spirit of Toto. We recommend including fun information about your pets like and dislikes, describing your pet’s temperament and personality are a great way for others to learn more about your puppy.

What will be supplied for my pet?

This will depend on the accommodation you have chosen. The Paw rating will provide you with a guide on how pet-friendly the accommodation will be and what will be provided for your pet. More information will be available in the property description and the property’s policy section. Some accommodation providers will provide everything you could want and more and other will simply be a place where dogs can be on the premises.
