Find Pet-friendly Accommodation in Sunshine Coast

A holiday hotspot only an hour from Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast is known for its white sandy beaches, small coastal towns and family-friendly attractions.

The perfect destination for a weekend getaway, there’s no shortage of holiday houses on offer, from glamorous homes with views of the Glass House Mountains to spacious holidays shacks on the beach.

Most travellers visit the Sunshine Coast for its pristine beaches. Sunshine Beach is a popular dog-friendly destination favoured by swimmers and surfers alike.

Put on your walking shoes, grab the leash and explore the Sunshine Coast on foot.

The nine-kilometre Caloundra Coastal Pathway starts at Point Cartwright, winds past the Pumicestone Passage and ends at Golden Beach – a must for super active dogs and owners.

Alternately, leave the waterfront behind and spend the day in the Glass House Mountains, where you will find tracks of all difficulties, including paths leading to the summit.

The Sunshine Coast has its own airport, with direct flights from all capital cities.

Things to do with your pet on the Sunshine Coast:

- Run along one of the many off-leash beaches
- Hike a hinterland trail with your pup in tow
- Play fetch in a local dog park
- Go fishing with your best mate at Caloundra
- Grab some seafood to share at dog-friendly fish and chip shop
- Learn to paddleboard with your pup at Noosa
